Ice Cap Holdings, LLC expands its shipyard presence to include a service and repair facility in Everett, Washington. Everett Ship Repair, LLC (ESR) was established earlier this month by Ice Cap Holdings, the parent company of Ice Floe, LLC dba Nichols Brothers Boat Builders (NBBB). The expansion creates a diverse shipbuilding portfolio between the sister companies, offering NBBB’s new build expertise and ESR’s repair and service capabilities.
Everett Ship Repair will focus on vessel repair, maintenance and conversion with key customers including commercial operators, government agencies and military vessels. The new ESR location address is 2730 Federal Avenue in Everett, Washington 98210. ESR is strategically located within Puget Sound, offering drydock and pier side services for vessels under 430 feet.
What makes Everett Ship Repair unique?
Everett Ship Repair (ESR) recently purchased the Faithful Servant a drydock formerly located in Bellingham, Washington. The 492’ x 148’ drydock arrived in Everett on October 1st and immediately began preparations for operation. The Faithful Servant is capable of docking vessels up to 430’ in length with a beam of 110’ and maximum draft of 32’. The lifting capacity for the drydock is 7,800 LT. In addition to the drydock, ESR has approximately 500’ of dock side available for in-water service and support.

NBBB will continue business as usual at the Freeland, Washington shipyard, supporting ESR as necessary to foster success and growth. NBBB is currently busy building two new Kitsap Transit Passenger Only Ferries and four new Foss Maritime Tractor Tugs, as well as preforming a complete rebuild of the M.S.
